Before You Burn It Down - Insights From a Motivational Speaker

Before You Burn It Down, Read This
When outrage rises, I check my moral geometry against how the world really works.
When I’m angry at the world—
when I want to burn something down—
I check my moral geometry
against how the world really works.
The four pillars of modern civilisation:
Cement. Steel. Plastics. Ammonia.
Look around you—
you don’t get this life without them.
The four pillars that defend truth:
Academia. Journalism. Government. Law.
Look around you—
you don’t keep this life without them.
The four pillars that improve health:
Vaccines. Antibiotics. Clean water. Modern agriculture.
Look around you—
you don’t survive this life without them.
Then I ask myself:
Am I smarter than
the relentless rules of humble arithmetic?
The inescapable gravity of physics?
The unforgiving lessons of history?
And then I decide—
Do I really want to burn it down?
This is how I find my footing in a world that sells outrage by the bucketload.
It’s not about blind optimism. It’s about seeing clearly—and choosing to build, not just blame.
PS: If you know someone who’s tempted to give up on the whole system, send them this.
Not as a lecture.
As a lifeline.
