Embracing Failure is Crucial in Motivational Speaking

change keynote speaker motivational speaker resilience

Failure has been one of my greatest assets as a motivational speaker.

Why?

Because failing and getting up again is a universal story we all admire.

Think Woody. Think Nemo. Animation studio PIXAR’s first rule: we admire people more for their struggle than their success.

When you go on stage, share your journey of failing but not staying down.

Why?

Because there are many in the audience who will have experienced failure too but they may be struggling to get back up. By telling your story you give them a chance to walk in your shoes and feel what overcoming failure feels like.

So get out from behind your failure, get in front of it and own it. It's good for your motivational speaking career.
