High Agency Humans - Insights From a Motivational Speaker
We march at dawn.
🧡 My parents loved one another but through a series of flawed choices left one another when I was eleven. No blame. This was never part of a grand scheme of theirs.
A consequence of that was I became a high-agency human without skills.
I clearly remember as my Dad drove away - taking my brother with him as part of a confused property split - of feeling alone and in the driver’s seat of my future.
This is what a high-agency human is. You accept control of your life. You don’t blame circumstance, instead, you take it in your stride and find a way around it.
I had belief in myself too.
The problem was I lacked two essential ingredients for moving ahead.
🧡 The first was confidence. Belief in yourself without confidence to execute is frustrating. My confidence took a kicking when my parents split.
🧡 The second was guidance. I desperately wanted someone to point this ball of possibility in the right direction. I didn’t have those people so I stumbled along as a free-range kid.
But here I am now. I zig-zagged my way through, up and over. As I look back the path seems so clear but I remember when I was moving forward it always looked so foggy.
🧡
So if you are ready to take things on but if you want more confidence and you could do with some guidance then follow me here. I don’t have any secret sauces but I can tell you what’s on the other side of the fog. We march at dawn.

If we haven’t met yet…
I never considered myself good at change until I went from
-average shot to army sniper
-home movies to National Geographic cameraman
-fumbling card tricks to a professional magician
-never swinging a hammer to building a home
-high school dropout to published author
-business illiterate to building & selling a business
-stutterer to motivational speaker
Turns out I know how to change, I know how to make it simple, and I know how to stand on stage & make it fun so others want to do it too.
