I read yesterday—thanks @Leanne Hughes—that LinkedIn has become a hive of humble-bragging influencers.

All night I wrestled with that. Yawn! And yet… it stung.

There’s a lot of talk about living your best life. Less evidence of actually living it.
I say this as someone who’s guilty. Including—ironically—this post.

I’m grateful I lived a chunk of my life before social media.
Not because the “good old days” were better. They weren’t. That’s nostalgia cosplaying as truth.

It’s just that I lived.
Alone with my dreams.
No one to correct me.
No one to compare with.
No metrics. Just mistakes.

I had time to temper my steel. Or maybe I just became a self-righteous wanker? Could be both.

It’s got me thinking:
Are we living for likes or living with meaning?
