Leanne Hughes risked personal embarrassment by reaching out to 📚 Michael Bungay Stanier, a person with a higher profile and reach. Let's do an event together she says. Michael agrees.

People travel to Brisbane from afar as Melbourne, Perth and New Zealand. Why? Because they trust Leanne and Michael. Why? Because they can see their track record. They turn up over and over. Imperfectly. Improving. Being accountable.

Then Michael started his session saying, "This is an idea I'm playing with. It's new. Untested. I made up one of the key concepts last night." And the whole audience clapped him on. Why? Because we trusted Michael to deliver. It was imperfect. He improved it with our input. He owned his choices and openly explained his reasons.

And we all went away with more trust in Leanne and Michael than we arrived with.

Trust is sweet. Trust is fuel. Trust lubricates. Trust is currency.
