Can a Motivational Speaker Handle Multiple Audience Points Of View?
Someone wrote "Multiple points of view are welcome, even if it challenges one's own beliefs"
BUT NOT WHEN YOU ARE SPEAKING
In a discussion. Yes.
In a meeting. Yes.
In a Zoom session. Yes.
But when you are on the stage/in front of the room and you have been contracted/invited to share your IP then that stage is yours.
You will never be asked back to speak if you lose control of your stage.
You will never be asked back to speak if you allow your session to run over time.
You are not there to listen actively and empathetically as suggested. Audiences are not giving up their time to watch you listen. They want to hear you speak.
