My Big Zoom Mistake - a Virtual Presenting Tip

👎🏻My big Zoom mistake!!!! ✅Good lesson here for anyone doing an important virtual presentation.  So there I was... hair brushed, smile on, clicker in hand, small talk with the convenors done, just waiting the last few minutes to go live into a virtual session and my Mac - that I keep updated daily with software upgrades - just went into a series of contortions and windows I've never seen that ended up with this screen.

I had been keeping my software updates on as I had set the update time to be while I sleeping at night. Somehow that didn't happen today.

So yes, turn OFF your auto software updates BEFORE doing an important virtual presentation
